Gary Eugene Moss, 74, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 1:49 pm June 20, 2024 at Nature Trail Health Care in Mount Vernon. He was born September 28, 1949 in Christopher, Illinois to the late Edward Eugene and Wanda Lou (Peddicord) Moss.
Gary is survived by his siblings, Gale Edward Moss of Marion, Illinois, Tonya Jean Meyers and husband, Ray of O'Fallon, Missouri, Tamara Mendenall of West Frankfort, Illinois, and Beverly Roberson and significant other, James Skidmore of Mount Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts, and uncles; and his nephew, Sean Roberson.
Gary was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. His passion was the Lord. Gary was a gentle soul that would help anyone in need. His dream was to be a missionary, but his health would not allow him to do that. Gary loved gospel music and scripture, and always said, "God bless you" to everyone. He enjoyed going out for co
