Jacquelyn Kaye Ellis, 79, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 7:27 pm June 23, 2024 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was born February 7, 1945 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Thomas Merrill and Lula Jane (Lemons) Harvill. Jacquelyn married David "Butch" William Ellis on May 2, 1964 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. They were blessed with nearly forty-nine years of marriage before he preceded her in death on March 23, 2013.
Jacquelyn is survived by her son, Steven Ellis and wife, Cameo of Mount Vernon, Illinois; daughters, Cynthia Ellis and Rebecca Myers and husband, Michael, all of Mount Vernon, Illinois; grandchildren, Kimberly Fielding and wife, Regina of Florida, Racheal Mendez and husband, Rafael of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Brandon Ellis of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Makayla Jordan and husband, Wayne of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Danielle Finney of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Joshua Myers and Marisa of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Jessica Merriam and husband, Alex of O
