H.C. Fields, 93, of Mount Vernon, Illinois was called home to be with his Lord and Savior at 8:53 pm on June 27, 2024 at DePaul Health Center in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born June 15, 1931 in Warrensburg, Missouri to the late Harry Fields and Agnes Perry. H.C. married the late Alice Elaine Jones on November 28, 1952 in San Bernadino, California and she preceded him in death on June 5, 1987. H.C. later married Frances (Whybark) Martin on November 25, 1991 in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, Frances (Whybark) Martin; sons, Lonnie Ray Fields and wife, Debbie of Midland, Michigan, Mark David Fields and wife, Cindy of Lafayette Indiana, Paul Loren Fields and wife, Tamie of Mount Vernon, Illinois; stepson, Richard Earl "Dick" Martin and wife, Sharon of Texico, Illinois; son-in-law, Gene Bumpus of Bonnie, Illinois; daughter-in-law, Annette (Fields) Percival of Springfield, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
