Irene Faye Southerd, 87, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois passed away on August 5, 2024 at 9:20 AM at SSM Health Good Samaritan in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Irene was born July 13, 1937 in Mt. Vernon to Dalmor Samuel and Mamie Marie (Minor) Hickey. She married Willard A. "Willie" Southerd on February 27, 1971 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois and he preceded her in death on August 21, 2009.
Irene is survived by three Daughters, Sandy Clarke and husband Scott of Santa Fe, Tennessee, Karla Coleman and partner Rick Lee of Hoyleton, Illinois, and Cathy Southerd-Graham and husband Jeff of San Tan Valley, Arizona; 9 grandchildren, Travis Clarke of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Josh Clarke and wife Jamie of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Brittany Clarke and partner Charlie Thompson of Nolensville, Tennessee, Katie Coleman Skidmore and husband Tim of Waltonville, Illinois, Tom Coleman Jr and family of Mt.
