Kay F. Henry, 78, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 11:07 am August 5, 2024 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. She was born July 18, 1946 in Decatur, Illinois to the late Thomas Nelson and Rose Marie (Russell) Nelms. Kay married Charles "Tuffy" Henry on July 23, 1966 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. They were blessed with twenty-four years of marriage before he preceded her in death on March 24, 1990.
Kay is survived by her daughter, Tracie Meyer and husband, Jeff of Mount Vernon; sons, Kevin Henry and Charles "Chuck Henry and wife, Deborah of Mount Vernon; sister, Sharon Shinall and husband, Jim of Decatur, Illinois; grandchildren, Nick Meyer of Dix, Bria Meyer and special friend, Cade Morgan of Mount Vernon; Mira, Cooper and Tanner Henry of Mount Vernon; Allison Green of Wayne City; and Melody Oliver of Mount Vernon; several nieces and nephews; and her closest special friend, Debbie Cook of Centralia.
