Steve Whiting, 58, of Ina, Illinois, passed away at 1:42 pm August 8, 2024 at his home. He was born April 30, 1966 in Harvard, Illinois to the late Thomas and Norma (Moore) Whiting. Steve married Eva (Strickland) Whiting on January 1, 2007 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
In addition to his beloved wife, Steve is survived by his daughter, Ashley Whiting of Georgia; grandson, Eli Whiting of Georgia; brothers, Thomas Wright and wife, Ruth of Stafford, Virginia, John Whiting of Texas, Kelly Whiting of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and sister, Jodi Schuster and husband, Stephen of Dahlgren, Illinois; several nieces and nephews; and two great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents; siblings, Scott Whiting, Roger Whiting, Terry Whiting, and Rhonda Whiting; and one nephew.
Steve proudly served his country in the United States Army. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
