Ronald E. Coffey, 85, of Belle Rive, Illinois, passed away at 4:45 pm August 13, 2024 at his residence. He was born November 14, 1938 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Gene and Christina (Hart) Coffey. Ron married Joann (Laswell) Coffey and she preceded him in death on May 4, 2011.
Ron is survived by his son, Tom Coffey and wife, Brandy of New Baden, Illinois; daughters, Rhonda Coffey Riley and husband, Terry of Belle Rive and Riki Cain and fiancé Terry Tillery of Sumner, Georgia; grandchildren, Jenean Hefner of Mount Vernon, Amey Heck of Sumner, Georgia, Ethan Coffey of New Baden, Illinois, Skyler Bittle of Mascoutah, Illinois, and Colin Coffey of Belleville, Illinois; great-grandchildren, Raistlyn Scott, Riley Scott, Raiden Bittle, and Ilia Bittle; sister, Kay Graham and husband, Kenny of Mount Vernon; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Gerry Lusby of Bluford, Illinois.
In addition to his parents and wife, Ron was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Mary Sue Mon
