Roberta Mae Scherer, 91, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 5:45 pm Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Mount Vernon Countryside Manor in Mount Vernon. She was born October 2, 1932 in Wayne City, Illinois to the late Jessie and Josephine Agnes (Laird) Stroud. Roberta married Jacob F. "Jake" Scherer 1956 in Nashville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on July 1, 2018.
Roberta is survived by her children, Brenda Braden of Benton, Illinois, Patricia "Patsy" Mourey of Bluford, Illinois, Rhonda Linza and husband, Michael of Grand Junction, Colorado, J.D.
