Michael Durand Meeks, 72, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 8:25 am January 27, 2025 at his residence. He was born April 16, 1952 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Hollis Durand and Joann Verma (Cluck) Meeks.
Michael is survived by his son, Michael Daniel Meeks and wife, Kelly; daughter, Amy Meeks; grandchildren, Matthew Michael Meeks, Mark Meeks, Tyler Hopper; brother, Mark Meeks and wife, Pearl; and beloved dog, Noel.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his sister, Theresa Hefner.
Michael was a loving, caring person who enjoyed being outdoors. He loved telling jokes and being with his family.
